A music-filled, interactive storytelling experience

Alicia Keys and AK Worldwide have teamed up with Bento Box Interactive, to create a one-of-a-kind immersive and interactive app for mobile and tablet devices, entitled “The Journals of Mama Mae & LeeLee.”

The App opens into a 3D virtual menu where you can explore the series of interactive stories, original music, activities, games, and guided journaling.

Open up LeeLee’s music box to discover a magic locket. Inside, you are rewarded with Alicia Keys’ original music that accompanies each story-pack.

Each storybook’s music combines the captivating sound of original music by Alicia Keys with geographically-focused instrumentation that is unique to each story’s culture and time period.

Included is the exclusive theme song “Unlock Yourself,” written and performed by Alicia Keys.

The Journal

Express yourself! Enter LeeLee’s world through your own personal journal. Write about what inspires you, or illustrate your thoughts using the drawing tools. Come discover the power of journaling and earn rewards for writing regularly.

Piano & Musical Mini Games

The piano in LeeLee’s room allows you to transform your tablet or mobile device into an interactive piano.

As you play the keys of the piano, a manuscript appears at the top of the keyboard highlighting the notes discovered.

Come play the musical-based mini games from each story pack. The first story pack, “Blue Moon,” includes a river cane flute mini-game!

Visit the bookshelf in LeeLee’s room to explore the series of interactive storybooks!

The first interactive storybook, “Blue Moon,” is available with the initial app and additional story-packs will be made available on the bookshelf in the future.

Your Dashboard

The Bento Box Platform is a social hub that connects and engages you across all Bento Box’s properties. You can connect with friends, earn rewards by achieving goals within the app, and share those rewards socially.
